Beschreibung

The LiberNovo Omni SE is the sceptic's pick of the range, and we mean that as a compliment.

You get the thing that makes an Omni worth owning — the Bionic FlexFit backrest, eight flexible panels riding on sixteen spherical pivots, reshaping as you twist and lean instead of holding you against a fixed contour — with a precision screw dial in place of the motor. No battery. No actuator. No wiring. Nothing electronic to fail, and a five-year frame warranty over all of it with no shorter electronics cover attached.

The footrest is included in the price.

What you give up, and what you don't

You give up the powered lumbar and the five-minute OmniStretch traction cycle. You keep the panelled backrest, the SyncroLink linked motion across headrest, backrest, seat and 4D armrests, and the full recline range — five positions from 105° to 160°, one more than the standard Omni. For a lot of buyers that is not a downgrade, it is a de-risking.

Lumbar support is set by hand with the screw dial and stays exactly where you put it. One thing worth knowing before you order: the adjustment changes lumbar depth, not height.

Will it fit you?

  • Height: 153–186cm (5'0"–6'1"). Over about 188cm, sit in one first.
  • Maximum load: 136 kg under BIFMA X5.1; LiberNovo separately publishes 110 kg under EN 1335, which is the figure an Australian commercial specifier is more likely to be held to. Above 136 kg, the LiberNovo Maxis is the right chair.
  • Seat depth: 45 cm or 48 cm — fixed at purchase and not adjustable later. We stock the 48 cm only. This is the one spec worth getting right, so call us on 02 9640 0642 before you order if you have long legs for your height.

Materials and certification

Tensioned micro-linen elastic backrest fabric over the panelled frame — a tensioned fabric back, not a mesh one. Multi-density foam seat with an anti-slip surface, reinforced nylon five-star base. Certified to BIFMA X5.1, GREENGUARD, TB117 and CA Prop 65. LiberNovo announced an iF Design Award 2026 for the Omni, in the Product Design – Beauty/Wellness category.

Warranty and support

Chair Dinkum is an authorised Australian retailer for LiberNovo. Five years on the frame and mechanical components. The motorised Omni and Omni Pro carry a shorter two-year cover on their electronics (battery, actuator, wiring) — the SE has none of those parts, so nothing on this chair sits under the shorter term and the five years covers all of it. Claims are handled by us here in Sydney rather than through an overseas support inbox, and Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply on top of that and cannot be excluded by any manufacturer's warranty.

Try it before you buy

Assembly takes about half an hour with the included tools. But before any of that — come and sit in one. The range is in our Pyrmont showroom by appointment, and the dynamic backrest only makes sense once you have shifted position a few times in it.
