Beschreibung

The LiberNovo Omni is built on a simple idea: your body was never designed to hold one posture for eight hours, so the chair should stop asking it to.

Its Bionic FlexFit backrest is not a single shell. Eight flexible panels ride on sixteen spherical pivots across fourteen dual-connection points, so the back reshapes as you twist, lean and settle rather than holding you against a fixed contour. SyncroLink ties the headrest, backrest, seat and 4D armrests into one connected motion, so reclining moves the whole chair with you instead of opening a gap behind your lower back.

OmniStretch: a five-minute reset for your lower back

Press the button on the armrest, recline, and a quiet motorised actuator drives the lumbar pad forward through 50mm of travel — a slow traction stretch that opens out the lower back rather than kneading it. The cycle runs about five minutes on a removable 2,200mAh battery that most owners charge every few weeks, not every day. Recharging takes roughly three and a half hours over USB-C, and every other function on the chair keeps working while it charges.

Two things we would rather tell you up front than have you discover later. The lumbar adjusts in depth, not height — you move it in and out to meet your curve, but you cannot slide it up or down. And there is no USB-C cable in the box.

Recline from 105° to 160°

Four positions, from upright focused work through to near-flat rest. Differential tilt keeps your eyeline sensible as you move, so a reclined position still works for reading or a call rather than being somewhere you have to climb out of. Pair it with the optional StepSync footrest (10° ergonomic tilt) and the Omni becomes a genuine recovery position at 3pm.

What it is made of

The backrest is a tensioned micro-linen stretch fabric over a pressure-relieving mid-layer. It is a tensioned fabric back, not a mesh one — it breathes noticeably better than the seat does, but if mesh is a hard requirement for you, look at the Herman Miller Aeron instead. The seat is a multi-density cushion with three firmness zones, and the headrest uses a hydrophilic memory foam.

Will it fit you?

  • Height: 153–186cm (5'0"–6'1"). Over about 188cm, sit in one first.
  • Maximum load: 136 kg under BIFMA X5.1; LiberNovo separately publishes 110 kg under EN 1335, which is the figure an Australian commercial specifier is more likely to be held to. Above 136 kg, the LiberNovo Maxis is the right chair.
  • Seat depth: 45 cm or 48 cm — fixed at purchase and not adjustable later. We stock the 48 cm only. This is the one spec worth getting right. If you have long legs for your height, call us before you order.
  • Seat height: 110 mm (4.3 in) of adjustment. LiberNovo does not publish absolute seat height endpoints, so we do not state them — measure your desk and ask us.

Warranty and support

Chair Dinkum is an authorised Australian retailer for LiberNovo. LiberNovo Australia publishes a 5-year limited warranty on the chair frame and 2 years on electronic components; warranty claims are handled here in Sydney, not through an overseas support inbox. Certified to BIFMA X5.1, UL962, FCC and RoHS. Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply on top of the manufacturer's warranty regardless.

Try it before you buy

This is a hard chair to judge from a photograph, because what it does only becomes obvious once you have moved around in it a few times. It is set up in our Pyrmont showroom, by appointment. Call 02 9640 0642 and we will talk you through the seat depth decision honestly.
