HÅG Capisco Gas Lift

Genuine replacement gas lift for the HAG Capisco 8106, Capisco Puls 8010, and Capisco Puls 8020. Available in three heights (150mm, 200mm, 265mm) and five colours to match your existing base.

The gas lift is the height-adjustment cylinder inside your Capisco. If your chair is sinking on its own, the gas lift needs replacing. If you are changing desk setups (moving to a sit-stand desk, for example), you may want a taller gas lift to unlock the Capisco's full perching range.

Seat height ranges

The seat height you end up with depends on the chair model as well as the gas lift, so there is no single set of figures that covers the whole range. The figures below are Flokk's published ranges for the Capisco 8106, given here as a reference point:

• 150mm: 400 to 540mm seat height. For people under 160cm at fixed-height desks.
• 200mm: 460 to 640mm seat height. Standard gas lift, suits most people at conventional desks.
• 265mm: 550 to 810mm seat height. For sit-stand desks, taller users, or anyone who wants to perch.

The 8105, 8107, 8126 and 8127 sit at different heights on the same cylinders, and the Capisco Puls models are measured separately again. Our HÅG Capisco models and measurements page gives the published range for each model against all three lifts, so check the figure for the chair you actually own before ordering. If you are not sure which model you have, call us on 02 9640 0642.

Fitting it

Installation takes about 5 minutes. Most cylinders come out with a rubber mallet and a bit of patience. If yours has seized — more likely on an older chair, or one that has never been apart — the HAG Gas Lift Unblocking Tool is what shifts it, though for a single chair it is worth trying without one first.

Our HÅG spare parts guide covers what Flokk's ten-year parts guarantee actually promises, what the warranty excludes, and when replacing a part is not the right answer.

Compatible with HAG Capisco 8106, Capisco Puls 8010, and Capisco Puls 8020.
